CAMP INFO -This summer for new mustangs we will be hosting two 4 day training camps. Lacrosse is a cut sport at Mira Costa. New players are encouraged to get their feet wet with these two weeks of training. Summer camp is a mix of individual technique and skill building, team concepts, and scrimmages.
COVID PLANS We would do the following based on the current covid guidelines...
If we can meet, but if contact is not allowed
Coaches would wear facemasks
Players would wear their lacrosse gloves, and face mask coverings would be worn.
Players would be kept to small groups of no more than 10 per coach
Players would be run through skills and drills with the focus on improving their individual skills, while keeping them at an appropriate distance from each other. Conditioning exercises, agility drills, body weight and plyometric strength training, core and flexibility exersizes, and lacrosse IQ instruction.
If contact is allowed (within 6 ft.) but groups still needed to be kept to under 10 We would practice as normal, in small groups of no more than 10 per coach. Wearing a facemask under their helmet.
